Here are some tips for traveling to celebrate and hangout with us. We know that traveling to Montana is no small feat, and we’re so grateful for your interest in attending. We’re super excited to share this special corner of the world with you. And working hard to make sure you have the opportunity to take advantage of being here!

Airports

Closest to venue: Glacier Park International Airport
The airport code is FCA and is located in Kalispell, Montana. This airport is closest to Glacier Park.

Other airport options to check prices (further drive, possibly better prices)

Missoula (MSO): about a 2.5 hour drive from Missoula to West Glacier, 3-hour drive to East Glacier. It’s a scenic drive and should be really nice. Rental car prices might be better in Missoula, too.

Great Falls (GTF): about a 2 hour drive from Great Falls to East Glacier. Rental car prices might be better here.

As of Jan 8th, flights into Missoula are significantly cheaper than FCA! BUT keep in mind it’s a MUCH further drive to Glacier.

Getting to the venue from FCA airport
Glacier Park Lodge is about 1.5-2 hour drive from FCA. It’s located in the very small town of East Glacier Park within the Blackfeet Nation. It’s a very beautiful drive along the edge of Glacier National Park. The road is a bit windy so it may take longer than it appears.

If you need specific provisions, we recommend stocking up in Kalispell. There are stores within East Glacier Park but they will be much smaller with limited choices.

Overall, it’s best to rent a car! Distances are vast in Montana, and Ubers/Lyfts are limited the further from Kalispell/Whitefish you get. Though you can often book cabs for longer distances, just ask in advance. (see “getting around” page for more)

If you don’t want to fly into MT…

Amtrak
If you’re up for an adventure, you can get to the town of the wedding venue by Amtrak! There is a stop in the town, “East Glacier Park.” This would be a unique experience, and worth looking into. Though it’s important to know that once you arrive in East Glacier, there are no car rentals so your freedom of movement and ability to explore the park will be limited. There are guided driving tours you can schedule to help with this, but you won’t have the same freedom you get when you rent a car. Also worth checking that wherever you’re staying will pick you up at the train station, most likely they will but important to look into!
